All training undertaken, presented by experienced practitioners and trainers, puts great emphasis on the practical reinforcement of issues covered using the latest technology.

Since its formation in 1992, the company has worked extensively across the globe, presenting in-house bespoke training for client institutions together with courses in financial centres in the EU plus the developing financial markets of central and eastern Europe, the Caribbean, Africa, India, the Middle and the Far East.

After a career spanning 25 years in and around the dealing rooms and Treasury management functions within Lloyds Bank Plc, Phil Parker founded Lywood David International Limited. For the last eighteen years he and a carefully selected faculty of independent trainers, all experienced practitioners in their chosen fields, have been presenting specialised training courses and offering consultancy services.

Phil Parker

Managing Director of Lywood David International Limited, has over forty years experience of the financial markets. He spent his banking career with Lloyds Bank in a number of senior Treasury roles. An experienced practitioner, having actively dealt (10 years in LBI London), Phil was appointed the bank's first Exchange examiner fulfilling an audit/consultancy role visiting the bank's overseas dealing centres. He then held the position of Senior Manager - Systems development for the bank's Treasury Division, responsible for the design, development and implementation of sophisticated mainframe dealing management information and dealing decision support software systems. This appointment was followed by four years setting up a specialist treasury training capability providing training for all levels of bank personnel and corporate customers. Since forming his own company in 1992 Phil has regularly presented open courses in London and overseas financial centres and in-house training on behalf of client institutions world-wide. In recent years Phil has developed a range of training courses and distance learning products towards ACI Education qualifications and is the author of Mastering the ACI Dealing Certificate published by FT Prentice Hall in 2003 and The ACI Dealing Certificate and How to Pass it published in 2009 by Riskmatrix.

Steve McGann

Managing Director of Techne Associates brings to Lywood David International Limited many years' experience of Bond markets and derivatives. Steve's unique skills include the science of technical analysis, using charts in forecasting rates in the foreign exchange and other financial markets. Since forming his own company in 1994 Steve has been offering Capital markets and technical analysis consultancy services and regularly presents open courses in London and provides in-house training and consultancy on behalf of client institutions world-wide.

Mervyn (Muj) King

Muj King, Principal Consultant of MJK Consultants, is a market practitioner with over 30 years’ experience in the global foreign exchange, money and derivatives markets having managed dealing rooms of active international banks in London and New York. He has also worked extensively as a training consultant and now runs his own consultancy company specialising in ACI Education training. Muj, is also author of Back Office and beyond published by Gilmour Drummond Publishing in 1999 and Back Office and Operational Risk published by Harriman House in 2010.
